mobile phone numbers should work like email addresses
It is just a simple truth, and one that is highlighted to me every time I have to manually enter a phone number or save a number to my SIM card. It’s embarrassing every time I change phones or with the press of a button delete my contacts.
It would be so much easier if when someone texts me, I never have that moment of “who is this?” or “must remember to save this number”.
If I send you a text, it would be great if you get “Amanda Wheeler” on your phone - not +6421XXXXXX.
When will this happen? Why hasn’t it already? And please don’t tell me it can’t. That would just be silly, surely?
